    Aftermarket? The mystery deepens.

I will have to trace the wiring and/or activate the switches.

When the oil is changed, how do they reset the oil life percent indicator? (That was my guess )

Push button and toggle? My guess would be an after market alarm and/or remote start.

OLM reset: Scroll to the readout on the DIC, hold in Reset until it returns to 100%. Or, key on, engine off, completely depress the accelerator 3 times.

The toggle switch kills all lights but the headlamps and the button is a smoke screen. These mods are for making get-aways while being chased. I would have told you but I was locked up when they sold my car and I didn't know who bought it.

    Or, rather, a "not-so-remote" start...

Use the DIC control buttons on the right. Call up engine OLM and hold the INFO RESET button for 6 - 10 seconds. The transmission fluid OLM should sit at 100% or 99% forever.

    (It's in the owner's manual .... )

OOpppssss .............. MC beat me to it.

Re: What are the 2 switches located under the knee guard?

I agree with Moistcabbage. It is an aftermarket alarm or more than likely a remote starter. Look under the hood for a warning label for the remote start, and a hood jam switch, although you do not have to wire the switch in for it to work. Both my 05 and 96 Devilles have remote starters, and I installed them both. The push button is for programing, and the switch is to disable it, also should have a red LED. Follow the wires and on the other end will be the module. (if still connected). Do you have non-factory key fob's/remotes? if so try pressing the *or star once or twice or 3 times and see if the parking lights come on and engine starts. No matter what it is, rest assured it is aftermarket. Good Luck
