    115k blast!

My 98 with 115k miles still has hit. I floored it yesterday in the middle of nowhere doing about 40 and it just throws me back in the seat and tooled right up to 85 before I let off the gas. It still had a lot more to go too! It is very comparable to my Daytona Charger in fact!

Go way up ^^^ in the top black bar and read the entire Cadillac Technical Archive, especially the article "Occasional full throttle operation is good for your engine".

Of course, maintenance and overall condition are your guides when asking an engine - any engine - to put out its maximum design power.
