no power to drivers side rear door?

    Good day;

There is no power to this door. No seat heater, no window, no locks. Can't even opperate L/R window or locks from drivers door.

I checked all the fuses under the back seat, all seem ok.

    Where to next?

    Thanks...

    Ken

Re: no power to drivers side rear door?

    Thanks Basscatt,

I checked all of them again and they all were hot on both pins. I pulled checked and reinstalled #3 and #5 and nothing in that door works.

    Pulled codes:

IPC U1000 current; instrument pannel cluster....class 2 comunication failure

RIM U1000 current; rear integration module....class 2 communication failure

    thanks Ken

Might need another door module BUT once on my 2000 dts I had a similar problem ended up being wires broken in the rubber boot in the door jam.

I would first try removing the door panel and unplug and plug all wires to the module, if nothing then I would CAREFULLY slice open the rubber boot covering all the wires in the door jam and see if any are broken. Over time wires become brittle and break in cold weather from the door opening and closing.

If all is intact and still no luck, I would start looking in scrap yards for a rear door module or ebay

    Found one for $40

I second that on the checking the door jamb, should be a large red wire and black wire for power and ground.

I agree with checking wiring from door or jamb. Countless people have found broken/chaffed wires.

Re: no power to drivers side rear door?

Thanks guys. found the problem. Three broken wires and a couple of exposed ones. Repaired broken wires and taped up bare ones and all was fixed. Checked for codes, after clearing, and there were none.

    Thanks again

    Ken
