    92 Deville Radio Removal

I am trying to take the stock radio out of my car so I can get an aux line installed but can't figure out which bolts to remove. I have read other posts and even used this link

    http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/GM/PDF/460017.pdf

I have the two screws out from the front but not sure which one(s) to take out from the bottom. The instructions say there is one to remove but I see five. Three on the left and two on the right. Here is a pic (one is already out-bottom left). Sorry about the quality.Radio.jpg
Do I take them all out?

If I'm looking at the picture right, the bottom two appear to be the only two going through the metal plate, so I assume those are the ones that need to be removed.

Yea that's what it looks like just wanted to be sure because the directions don't make it seem like that.

    Thanks

I thought it was one of the ones in the bigger holes that comes out but it's been about 10 years since I've removed the radio from that style of Deville. If you loosen whatever ones you think it is and try moving the radio you'll be able to tell if you got the right ones or not.

    Re: 92 Deville Radio Removal

I just had the radio out of my 92 DeVille last weekend to install a Scosche FM-MOD02 Universal Audio Input FM Modulator. The plastic wood grain basel just snaps off. There are two screws under the basel at the top of the radio that unscrew. There is one screw on the bottom of the radio, its the oddball one, directly under the black wire in your picture. Its also the easiest to get too when the ashtray is pulled out. I found plety of wire to pull the radio out, but it was s snug fit. I was able to tuck the Scoshe Modulator to the left of the radio as there is a void in there. Also the sterios on these cars use the Delco/Micro antenna plugs, so depending on what your doing, make sure to order adaptors if needed.
