Another 99 Deville D' Elegance HG?

I swear my brother is insane but I will be doing a block test on his 99 Deville and possibly buying it from him. Car has only 91k on it and he swears swears swears the head gasket is blown. I have yet to see one symptom. Drove it today got it up to 90mph, did some cruisin in the neighborhood never saw temp once past 210 and 210 as high as I ever saw it pretty much stayed at 195-200. He says if the car sits it will put out white smoke in the morning but I have yet to see this said smoke. Exhaust smells well like exhaust no sweetness to the smell.

Having read these forums I have not seen one single sypmtom on his that says head gasket. Now supposing it is a head gasket blown, can the northstar be romoved from the top? It has attachments to hook chains up and my lead technician says he has pulled them from the top. I am in no way scared of the job I have done many head gasket jobs, lots of motor swaps. Question would remain for me would I be able to sell this beast and recoupe my money. She is clean as a whistle and this is the only issue period on the vehicle. Bluebook is 4k fair condition.

It can be, and has been, pulled from the top, but most who have done it say it is easier to drop the cradle.

It's condensation, tell him to relax. If the ~$10 test will put his mind at rest, it's worth it.

Yes, but most who've done it have found it to be more trouble than it's worthz
