    Blower Motor issue

Hi everyone, Been driving the 86 cdv on a more constant basis an issue has come up that i have heard is a common problem with these cars.My blower motor will not shut down after turning the key off. I discovered this when I came out the next morning to start the car the battery was stone dead
Did the relay fail? or did the blower motor fail? Is this a difficult repair?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Ranger is most likely correct. The power module fails. 30 minute replacement.

Ranger, Thanks I do have question these connectors are origina,l there are 2 gray plastic locking pins on either side of the connector I cant budge them without breaking them. Is that ok? I want to temporarly disconnect the power to the motor control module so I wont have to keep disconnecting the battery everytime i go to start the car.

They do slide out but yes you can cut them, Then unlock the normal terminal locks and remove.
