    Coolant level sensor location

    Hi,

Coolant level is correct ( half of surge tank) but I get the "check coolant level" message

Need to find the level sensor to test it, but was unable to locate it.

Would someone know where it is? Car is a 2000 Deville "Y" engine Northstarwith limo conversion option.

    Re: Coolant level sensor location

The sensor is a reed switch in a receptacle in the bottom of the coolant reservoir. Snap-in. Check the electrical connector, or the magnetic float itself may be stuck down for some reason. Once in a while removal and a thorough cleaning of the tank frees things up.
