    garage door opener/ homelink transmitter

    my 03 deville does not have the garage door opener / home link transmitter option, the little plate were it goes pop,s right out, if i were to get one from another deville and popped it in will it work???

    Yes it will work... done it many times its plug and play. Make sure you get a transmitter with an amber light if you have a rolling code door opener.

    when removing one from a car are there any trick,s or tip,s on doing so??? i dont want to crack or break anything

    Just gently pry it out with a small flat tip screw driver.

    Here are 3 different type, not sure if they will fit in your overhead. There is a locking tab on the bottom side that holds it in. All of these in the picture are upside down.

    The one's pictured on the right are the type that came from the factory in the 00-05 Deville. The amber light model is for a rolling code opener the red light model is for the older non-rolling code openers.
