    Traction problem

    Hello my friend over there I have a traction problem in my 1997 Deville, It is like the traction will not go of and the yellow light (two ) light in the control panel " Traction Control and ABS lock"
    and will not go off and the button for the Traction control not wotk, I have a two code currently, IPC U 1255 and AMC U 1315 other are a history, can some one have some ansvear .

    Are you SURE there are no "C" (chassis) codes?

    Hi I go over this again and find two more codes ot is TCS C 1236 and C 1277 do it sow something ?

    Always post the code definitions along with the codes. No one has them memorized. You want the OBDII link in the DTC sticky.

    Go to the red DTC "sticky" at the top of the forum page.

    C1236 - Low System Supply Voltage
    C1277 - Requested Torque Signal Circuit Malfunction
    I find this, I know the battery is not good , is it maby the fault just change battery.

    Yup, I'd suspect the battery. There is a LOT of electronics in these cars and low voltage wakes up the gremlins to come out an play and wreak havoc.

    You should get at least 12.6 volts with the key in the OFF position, and 13.6-14 with the key in the ON position.

    I have 12,1 in off and when I start the car I have 14,1 volt but I have see it 13,8

    the 12.1 at off is on the deathbead. If it were MY battery I'd replace it.

    Hello again and thanks for your help, what I do yesterday I clear all code out , this morning I drive 150 km and all is ok no yellow signal light and volt meter show 14,1 volt when I driving.
    Hope it will be o.k next time I will bay a new battery
