%*%*%^$$% Bllower Motor
So I start up the car yesterday and the fan doesn't work. Nothing. I see that is yet another common problem with these cars. So I slam the passenger door- nope doesn't work. Pull the trim panel on the passenger door and check the grounds- all good. Pull the codes- only the door actuator B4029. Put the pass seat all the way back, remove the glove box. rap on the blower housing a few times with a screwdriver- nope nothing. Remove the plug from the blower motor- hot to purple and ground to black- 12 volts. Must be the damn blower motor. Wiggled the wires- nothing.
So I do my version of inversion man with my feet in the air and head under the dash ( did I mention my bad back) and I do not see any bolts directly on the motor I do see 3 small bolts on the perimeter plastic housing covering the motor and then 2 MORE bolts- 1 inch from the firewall that you cannot get a socket on and can only be taken off with a small wrench turning the bolt 15 degrees at a time.
If you look at this picture from another caddillac install, from what I see, my motor is not directly visible and is housed in a black plastic , the only bolts are in the "channels" on the outside perimeter. Maybe the bolts are black like the housing.
As I dont have that small a wrench, I called it a night and will look at it again in the morning. Hoping I overlooked the bolts on the motor. Am I missing something or doing something wrong as my back is killing me under there.

I think there may be a tutorial in the Tech Tips section that might answer your questions or be of some help.
