Ground G101 - 88 CPE-DEVILLE
I'm reassembling my '88 Deville 4.5 TBI from 2 1/2 years ago, (the six center head bolts held) and I can't find where the braided copper ground strap on the alternator stud connects on the other end. The FSM shows the end on the alternator mounting stud, but not the other end. There appears to be no body connection near and the engine is grounded to the battery as is the body. Also the cat converter air pipe and the front manifold air pipe colide in the right rear corner of the engine and there doesn't see to be a way to mount the cat air pipe. It interferes with the power steering pipes and the front manifold air feed pipe. The FSM is vague in this area often showing the other engine only.
