    Horns - '88 vs. '94

I heard the horn on a '94 (maybe '95) DeVille over the weekend. It was definitely a four note horn. My '88 Fleetwood FWD has the four note horn but the sound is very different? Did the horn tones change? If I were to pull some from a '94 would they work in my '88??? I've not yet made it to the junkyard so that's why I'm asking if anyone knows.

    thanks!

I don't know if they changed the horn notes from '88 to the early '90s. No reason why they should not work. My '03 only had 2 notes and it sounded anemic so I got the missing notes from a '96 and added them. It now sounds like a Cadillac should.

Test each of the 4 horns individually to make sure one isn't dying or dead.

My '97 had the 4 note horns. I think the Devilles kept them until 2000.

Darn right! I love Cadillac horns. Sounds like a freight train!
