    Driver's side A/C blowing hot

So, just got the thing. There are air vents on driver, passenger, and two in the back (as well as windshield and floor). When I turn on the A/c to the coldest setting the driver's side and rear vents blow warm air out (and I even went through all the temperatures as high/low in the A/C). There are two vents in the middle front, the left one of the two also blows hot.

There's a passenger climate control and it is turned all the way to the left (coldest).

Not sure if this is related but my dash is also saying it is always 104 degrees F outside.

I've read that it may need freon, it could be a leak, the a/c door in the vents could be stuck, etc.

Anybody have a similar problem or know where I should start in troubleshooting? Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Driver's side A/C blowing hot

When in the A/C mode and drivers side temps are warmer (not hot) than the passengers side that is usually a symptom of low refrigerant. If it is HOT, then it may be a bad temperature actuator. Pull the DTCs. Post them AND their definitions. You may or may not have a low refrigerant DTC. This symptom usually shows up before it gets low enough to set a DTC. That said, you need to replace the ambient air temperature sensor first. It is obviously NFG (unless you are in Las Vegas).

check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes -

if you don't know how - go here and read the ENTIRE post -

    http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...odes-dtcs.html

if you have any codes - post them here -
    ALONG WITH THEIR DEFINITIONS -
    ---------------

    ---------------
    to diagnose AC problems -
you need to connect a quality set of guages -

then post BOTH the HIGH pressure readings -
and the LOW pressure readings -

along with the ambient - outside - air temp -

and the air discharge temp at the center AC vent -
with the temp set at 60* and a medium speed fan -
