How do I make my car smoke, yes make it smoke.

myself and 2 friends are doing a short film. it is a 20 minute parady of 70s blacksploitation movies. I got this 94 Cadillac Deville with 276,000 miles on it with the paint chipping and the tailpipe dragging and horrible interior. I got it because it was smoking and backfiring. I bought it from the in-op lane at the local auction for a couple hundred dollars. it was perfect until get this, it stopped smoking and backfiring. we have been driving it trying to make it smoke but it wont anymore, its running great, which is the opposite of what I want it to do.

is there some way I can make it billow out smoke from the tailpipe? I only need it to do it and to run for 10 minutes or so total

Marvel Mystery oil in the tank should do it.

WTF? Blowby? What you need is a can of top engine cleaner. With engine running, pull vacuum booster hose off, and check valve. Very slowly pour top engine cleaner ( GM part 1050002) into hose, vacuum will suck it in. After entire contents are in the vehicle, reattach vacuum hose with engine still running. It will probably stall, that is normal. If it doesn't, just shut it off. Let it sit for about 15 minutes. When you fire it up, be light on the throttle, and move car to wherever you are filming. When you are ready, gun the hell out of it....it will make a ridiculous cloud of smoke...it's pretty fun to pull into traffic with one of those, and watch peoples eyes get huge. The best part is, it's good for your engine! Good luck, let me know if it works for you.

You can also add about a 30% mixture of diesel to the gas. It'll run horrible and smoke like crazy.

anyone else fint it funny that he bought a car that was supposed to run like crap and it started to run fine, I guess you can't loose for winning. as far as making it smoke........I would say lots of 2 cycle engine oil or diesel in the fuel. also what are you planning to do w/ your deville when your done? If you are close to me I might be interested.

I'm in Niagara Falls Canada and I would be interested if you were close to here too. And if you want a nasty ass amount of white smoke, introduce some transmission fluid to the fuel mix somehow. It won't damage the engine (well it might clog the injectors) but it smokes like a bastard.

top engine cleaner will create thickish black smoke

or get a can of automatic tranny fluid put a hole in the top and put a vaccum line down into the bottom of it thru the hole you made. then attach the other end of the line attched to a source of vaccum from the engine ,perhaps the fuel pressure regulator line where it attches to the throttle body , strap the can down to something so it dont spill ...this will create a white smoke if my theroy is right (simualteing a blown modulator valve in the tranny)
