What's up cadillac fam? My A/C recently started blowing hot air & I want to know how to determine if it is the entire A/C compressor vs. just the clutch. Before it stopped working completely it would work for 20-30mins then it would blow hot air... I visually witnessed the clutch working & stopping when I was checking in the driveway. There isn't any weird noise or anything, now the clutch does not engage and the A/C just blows hot air. If you have any information that could possibly help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I agree with Ranger on checking your refrigerant level and check your DTCs.
I found the culprit on my DTS a/c system was a short in the wire connected to my A/C pressure sensor. It was shorted right at the connector itself. That connection is somewhat close to the manifold so I guess the heat accelerated the deterioration of the insulation of the wire.

don't think its low on freeon cuz the pressure is normal.... where exactly is the connector domino was refering to though? Cuz I'd like to look and check it. I really just wanna know is there a way to tell if the clutch is burned out or is it the entire compressor though and also how hard is it to replace just the clutch, if it is the clutch. Thanks.
