    2000 deville electrical problem

Has anyone else had this problem? While driving the car suddenly all lights and functions quit operating. If you shut the car off it will not start. Ihave taken it to the dealership and they replaced the computer. This has been replaced twice now. The car is currently at the dealership again for the third time. What would be causing the computer to go out like this repeatedly. I am now afraid to leave home with this vehicle. Thanks for any replies

    Re: 2000 deville electrical problem

I had this problem with a 1991 DV. Sometimes I would park somewhere after driving a while and it was completely dead afterwards, nothing worked. After several minutes it was back to normal. Later it went dead driving and started up within 15 minutes. The key was that everything was dead. Since this was intermittent, I turned on the radio, started at the battery cables and gently started pulling until the radio went off. My problem was where the battery cable tied into the maxifuse block on the firewall. Loose connection that would heat up and then not make connection until it cooled off.

    Good luck.
