Entirely possible that the intake or a discharge hose for the A.I.R. compressor is disconnected or broken and you're hearing the air-to-exhaust manifold sequence used to light off the cat.
The A.I.R. compressor usually runs for a few seconds on cold start - it's down near the front of the driver's fenderwell - you might have two compressors, in which case the other is about below the rear of the fenderwell on the passenger side. The rear level control compressor does its prove out and shock preload just after the cat light-off sequence.
My DTS sounds the same on cold start, but then the "jet engine" sound goes away and the idle settles down. But, I did not think the 05's had AIR pumps. Do they?
