1990 Sedan DeVille

so i have been having problems recently with my 1990 Sedan DeVille....It was giving me error codes e47 and e98....

I replaced my bcm and f32 came up.... i replaced my pcm now e91 is showing up.... I reinstalled my old BCM and e91 comes up again... I was wondering if it's a bad pcm because the original didnt show that code. I need help in a major way as I have invested alot in this car and just want it running back to it'soriginal state. let me know pleaseeeee if its bad pcm..i can send it back....or do i really have to fix the prndl switch...if so how do i go about doing that???

Not sure what to tell you, but it would help if you'd post the code definitions along with them.

E91 = PRNDL switch problem... That is the only code that comes up now

It never used to come up before i put the new pcm in

yep @ onecool....i never had this code come up when i had my old pcm in... now on the new one it's there...when i clear the codes it doesnt come back until i shift into gear...How do i go about fixing this

or is it a bad pcm

?

Where did you get the PCM? I suppose it could just be a coincidence, but that happening right after the PCM change seems like a long shot.

The other thing that i notice now is that my speedometer claims that im doing 45mph or more when driving out of my driveway when in actuality im doing 10mph max

I had the E91 code for awhile, it would come and go...

I took it to a transmission shop and asked them to check out my shift linkage on top of the transmission...turned out to be a loose bolt. After he tightened it down the code disappeared and has never returned...would be something to get checked out first before throwing more money at it.

si=o it ended up being a bad replacement pcm...i went out and got another....did a tune up....car working fine now
