1994 concours MAP sensor remove

Remove this ad
howdy,

The 94 concours 'broke down' the other day and i got the P032 code and bought a new MAP sensor.

I took the intake cover off and located it, the FSM simply states "remove MAP sensor" then "remove MAP sensor connector"

Sounds easy, yet Im not sure how to get the sensor out. I know the 93-94 northstars are VERY unique up there on the top of the manifold, so im not sure if the northstars after that have the same plastic clip its sitting in.

Which is why im including a picture.

I dont want to break those clips on the left side of the picture.

Do i pry those back to get it out? I feel like they will break....

I took the connector piece out before removing the sensor itself. Why would the book have you take it out first? hm

any suggestions?

thanks

Re: 1994 concours MAP sensor remove

It looks like they pry back just enough to release it.

Re: 1994 concours MAP sensor remove

I've broken a few myself, but unless it slides out I think that is the only way.
