1994 Deville Turn Signal Flasher location

I would like to replace this since my flashers have completely quit working, inside or out. There is also no "clicking sound" when I put on the flashers. The control arm for the flashers seems to be functioning correctly, locking in place, and cancelling after a turn, etc. The fuses look fine.

I have the replacement part from auto zone, so I know what the part looks like. It is a black, rectangular plug.

I spent 30 minutes laying on the floorboard with the protective plastic plate off, flashlight in hand, looking for it, both with my eyeballs, and just feeling around under the dash, with no luck finding it.

Can anyone give me a specific location for this little rascal? I thought that something of that size couldn't hide from me for long, but I was wrong.

One picture I saw on this forum showed it to be behind the area of the dash containing the dash dimmer switch, and they popped out a cover plate on the front of the dashboard with a screwdriver, but it wasn't my specific car.

I have the 1994 Sedan Deville with the 4.9L.

Thanks, in advance, Mike

Re: 1994 Deville Turn Signal Flasher location

It is up behind the dash next to the column. There is a round 4-way on one side and the rectangular turn signal on the other. I forget which is which. Put the 4-ways on and feel around up there. Once you know what side it is on you can concentrate on the other side. It's tucked up there a way as I recall.
