Hello My Name Is Ivan And I'm New At CADILLAC OWNERS. I'm Looking To Replace The Engine On My 2000 Deville DHS. I Found A Great Deal On A 2005 Northstar Engine And Was Wondering If it Would Work On My 2000 Deville Or Not. Please Help Me With This Issue I Would Greatly Appreciate It!!! THANKS!!
I Have A 6 Inch Crack On The Block Right Above The Knock Sensors And Blown Headgaskets. I Tried The Easy Fix In A Bottle For The Headgaskets And Worked But It Leaks Alot of Oil From The Cracked Block. So I Think Its Time To Say Good Bye To The Old One! Any Suggestions?
So is there no answer to this question? I also have a 2000 deville with what could possibly be a blown head gasket I found a great deal on a 2005 deville motor I'm wondering the same thing will it work!!?
There is a thread in the Northstar forums that details each engine year and compatibility between them. I *think* it will work but you have to modify some things.
There is another exact same question thread on this, posted by devilsown, currently running. The answers are in there.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
