Drivers side window problems 02 DHS

So my window just fell off the motor arm/ track, its stuck down, i can hear the motor go up then down so at least thats a good sign. has anyone ever encountered this? is there a way i can go about putting the window back on its track? i examined the door panel and im not sure how to get it off. can anyone out there help me out?

It's common and known as the pop n drop window. There is a cable that broke I believe. I think there is a fix in the Tech Tips section. Pull the panel behind the door handle. It is velcro'd in place. One screw behind it. Then pop the perimeter nylon push rivets for lack of a better word. Now lift the panel upwards. DO NOT pull it outwards. You'll see why when you get it off.

Ranger is right on. There is a well-written PDF stickied in this forum on how to replace the window regulators. I also recently put up a few posts on the topic having replaced all 4 of mine (3 of them broke within a few months and I replaced the 4th preemptively). I bought the regulators without motors for about $50 each ... with a motor for about $80 from 1A Auto in Pepperell MA.
