Driver window makes clicking sound

My 1999 Deville driver window makes a clicking sound when you roll it up or down. It will work normally for a few inches then stop moving and start making the clicking sounds. You can give it a push with your hand and it will go the rest of the way and stop making the clicking sound. What do I need to repair this? I know how to take the door panel off but don't know much about power window repair.

The gear inside the motor is stripped, when the spot with no teeth gets to the worm gear it quits moving and makes that noise.
I think '99 had a cable regulator, I think you have to replace the motor with the regulator.

Depends on your skill level.
It is pretty basic mechanical repair but you have to know how to get the door panel off without breaking it. Sometimes that can be a chore.
