Re: NEED HELP!!!!!! with 1991 deville

ok so now that is getting colder out the transmission problem is coming back. the best way i can describe it is, i will be driving and it dose not want to shift when it should. i can compare it to if i would give it full throttle and it would shift like at the red line but it's not even close to full throttle. there is also a new that may have something to do with it.
    (E090) ......... VCC/TCC Brake Switch/Park/neutral switch Input Circuit Problem
if any one has any idea of what could be causing this problem they would be greatly appreciated

sounds like you have a bad engine control computer(too mutch to be going bad all at once)
$100 at rock auto for install get Henes manual

could have happened if took positive side of battery off first (will frie them fast that way)

could have also blown a fuse 3 fuse boxes in car hidden one under the glove box gets missed a lot.

This thread is 3 years old, and you won't damage the PCM by removing the positive battery cable before the negative.

    In any case,

For the archives I believe those cold shifting problems are a bad seal in the trans. The OP probably junked the car by now.
