Open the Hood of DeVille 92 without device - need help!

I have a double problem with my just bought DeVille 92.
The battery is empty, but I cannot open the hood, because the device in the car does not work. It seems, that the connection between the lever in the car and the hood is broken.

Is there any other way to open the hood? I cannot even drive to a dealer, because my battery is down...

Thank you very much for your help!

    Just A Thought,
Can You Get A Jumper Cable To The Starter Underneath The Car??
This Used To Work In The Older Days!
    Be Carefull!!
    Or
Can You Reach The Cable Thru The Grill With Vise Grips And Pull It That Way?
    Or
Sometimes You Can Grab The Wire Inside The Car With Vise Grips Where The Cable Connects At The Pull Handle Under The Dash.
Hope One Of These May Help.
