i recently bought my first caddy, 1991 fleetwood. needs a bit of work but oh well. it has a "fake" convertable roof on it,it has the ribs (bows) like a real one, never saw one before. what is it called? is it rare? any tips on getting the air ride working? where is the compressor thanks
yes, it is a vinyl roof , but it also has the "bows" of a real convertable, and there is snaps along the bottom, where a cover would snap on. I really would like to know more about it/. is it rare, what is this type of roof called
I have not been able to find this top treatment in my factory references for the 1991 Fleetwood. I am guessing it was an aftermarket custom installation.
I have heard them called Faux Convertibles but I am not sure if it has an official name.

They usually call them a Cabriolet roof.. I have a couple 1980’s Eldorados and Sevilles with this type roof..don’t know much about air ride, but ac compressor should powered by serpentine belt
