2005 Deville iPod or Auxillary Input... HELP

Hello, I have been looking around the web for some type of solution to get the iPod working in my 2005 deville. I dont want to use a FM modulator becuase the sound quality is horrible. I have an 6 disk changer in the glove box that I dont, nor will use. Is there something I can do to replace the cd changer with an iPod or Auxillary input hookup? Either way will work for me. I cant seem to find anything concrete for the 2005 deville. I have the base model deville with standard GM radio (CD FM AM Changer XM) not Bose. Please help me shed some light on the subject!

No cassette player, just AM/FM/CD/CD Changer in Glove Box/ and XM. After further research I think it is radio model "UM3" I could be wrong.

somethign like his might help - http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142FMMO...2.html?tp=1701

This is how my old JVC 12-disk changer was installed, and it sounded great - not your typical fm-modulator!

Check and see if CadillacSTS2003 is still posting on the forums and contact him. He built me a harness for my 04 DHS that works great!

Question Re: 2005 Deville iPod or Auxillary Input... HELP

I am told that that the http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=724 along with the http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=853 will work with a 2005 deville with base head unit and cd changer in glove box. Can anyone in the forums confirm this?

What is the solution if you do have the nav radio? That's what I've got and I'd love to integrate my ipod.

i can build you an inline harness with RCA inputs for video and audio

just requires you to uplug your radio plug the harness inline between your stock hu and stock harness and buy an IPOD specific RCA coaxel cable and running to to wherever you choose

If it plugs directly into the cd changer harness the Ipod should work just fine. I had mine done at Bestbuy and it works great, you can even work the Ipod through steering wheel controls. As long as you don't muck with the head unit you will be fine. I have seen harness' for sale on Ebay as well.
Check his site out this looks very similar to what Bestbuy installed in my Deville.

If your still interested in going this route let me know. I bought these because I was told they would work on my Bose HU by a member on here that had it but it doesn't. I'll sell them to you
