You gave this response to someone that was having problems with the AC fuse blowing:
'Why not just go under the car and unplug the A/C compressor? Chances are your a/c clutch coil is the culprit. If so, replace it and make sure the water pump is not leaking coolant on top of the compressor. That may have caused the short, fairly common on that model.'
I'm having the same problem. Will be working on water pump tomorrow but wondering why this causes the fuse to blow. When I changed the compressor it looked like the coils were enclosed in plastic and the connector doesn't look like it gets wet. Trying to figure if I have another compressor problem.
