| Re: Fuel filter location on 2003 Deville DTS You probably don't need to replace it....they're pretty large and don't have a history of clogging. I believe it is on the frame rail, sort of under the driver's side of the rear seat. Two fittings, one a quick connect, the other hex head. Keep your face out of the way......4 - 6 ounces of fuel will dump. If you do replace it, use either a WIX or ACDelco unit. Before starting the car, turn the key ON, let the fuel pump prime, and turn the key OFF. Do this 3 times. During this procedure you may hear the rear level compressor run for 4 seconds also......don't confuse that with the fuel pump.......you can hear that by using an assistant and listening in the fuel fill pipe. |
