Looking for 'self-check' mode to the climate control

    Hi Everyone,

First post here, I tried searching, but no luck. Our 95 Deville's AC fan will not come on. I've found many posts about it not shutting off, and it being the module, but our problem is the reverse. The fan won't come on at all.

Is there a 'self-check' mode or something, similar to the OBD-II self test, where you can hold a few buttons down, and search for codes speciffic to the climate control unit?

I know my Taurus SHO does this, as well as my Grand Cherokee, so I'd assume the Caddy can as well. Anyone know how to do this?

Yep. Do a search for checking codes and you'll find lots of information on it. You can also do a search for any codes you get and chances are you'll find information about them here too

Thanks, Brougham. I found the off-warmer trick for engine codes, but I didn't think the ECC codes would be in there as well.

    I'll keep looking....

They would be in there, along with most of the other systems, like traction control, and airbag to name a few. I think those codes would start with a B.
