| Broken Antenna trunk mod My nylon cable snapped (antenna would not go down) so I removed the motor from assembly . I kept the telescoping rods and installed (with no motor) it under the black lining on the roof of the trunk. Now I don't have to worry about it breaking or the motor going up and down. I used zip ties to secure to the cross brasses that run behind the speakers and wrapped everything in a towel to prevent shorting and vibration. The audio quality is just as good as when the antenna was fully extended. I glued the finial to the black screw insert so that it looks stock from the outside. When you screw the black lining back on you cannot tell that the antenna is under it. I originally bought the replacement nylon cable, but it still wasn't working properly, the antenna setup is way over engineered, so I just simplified it.
