You do not need to take your car to AutoZone for a scan: the entire process is already built into the car.....read the stickys at the top of several of these forums entitled "How to pull Codes" and "Got codes ? Look here".
Fuel pressure sensor does not compute.......Fuel tank pressure or fuel pressure regulator gets closer......
EDIT.....For 2002 (OBD-II) P0452 refers to fuel tank pressure sensor. Several recalls and fixes on this here and in Seville over the past few years. Involves gas caps, fuel filler pipe rust, sensor malfunction, and EVAP system operation checks. |

Hey, yeah sorry....I know how to get codes from the cluster but last time I did that I drained my battery, also my car is a 1998 deville with the n* 4.6, I looked under the hood for loose connections and I could not find the evap sensor but I did find a hose connected to the engine on the left side lookin at the front of the car......on the other end of the hose there was a cap...? Idk what it is or if its even supposed to be there....its right near the fuel lines comming in......and it reaches to about the top of the strut tower brace.....also when I'm driving down the road and if I lay into the gas the car bogs and I can hear the air box gaspin for air......any help wouuld be appreciated plaease thanks |

I understand the bogging part, but gasping for air? A bad TPS will cause it to bog when nailed, but that should set a DTC. |

Has any work been done to the air box, filter, intake hoses, MAF or near the throttlebody ? That area would sound like the engine is gasping for air. (????)
The fuel tank pressure sensor is a different problem. |

Did the P0452 problem show up immediately after that repair?
If so, it could be the evaporative system parts and hoses were not replaced properly. |

I have not been able to take pictures....sorry but i showed a mechanic and he said it could be the intake gaskets...he said they are little orings.......im not sure on how accurate that is. but can someone show me what the evap sensor looks like? and where it would be located? so i can see if there are any loose connections.... thanks.... |

EVAP is a system. Evaporative emission control. It stores fuel vapors from the tank and then burns them when the car is started. The sensor Sub mentioned is in the fuel tank. |

Replaced starter motor.......removed intake manifold........so the most likely culprits are: Intake manifold gaskets, Intake to throttlebody connection, manifold overpressure valve, PCV dirty air vacuum fittings, injector O-ring seals. |

The code should be related to the fuel tank pressure sensor. It is usually mounted on top of the sending unit on the tank.
For diagnosis and repair on your car I am pretty sure that calls for removal of the tank.
It could very well be a bad sensor.
It should not be related to the repairs you had done.
You could have driveability problems related to the starter install.
If someone took a shortcut and didn't replace the intake seals they may have created a vacuum leak.
This shouldn't really cause lack of power but it could cause a high or unstable idle and/or codes to set for a lean condition.
Whatever is going on with the engine should not be related to the pressure sensor.
