Service Engine Code P0452 Please Help!!! - Page 2

Wasnt the intake gasket........SES light came on soon after i picked it up and started running like s@#$. Everytime i go to acclerate up a hill or with a little load on the car backfires in the airbox, you can har like a pop in the airbox like its dying out.....then if you let go of the gas a little and try to accelerate again it will move past it....has any1 ever had this problem? Also my interior lights and cig lighters dont work, i tested all the fuses, and i replaced the inadvert relay, still nothing.....its got me scratching my head i dont know where to look......PLZ help thanks!

The code is stil p0452.....fuel pressure sensor........I don't think its that I think there is a vacuum leak somewhere, I'm not sure wat to check and where......thanks I need to fix this I'm trying to sell the car and nobody wants a cadillac with problems.....thanks PLZ Help!!!!!

If the code is telling you that it is the fuel pressure sensor, why do you think it is something else?

P0452 refers to Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor as posted in #2. That, and the EVAP system are tied togetrher, and a fault there will trigger the SES light.

There is a great difference between "fuel pressure" and "fuel tank pressure".

Did you ever remove the engine beauty cover and make sure the PCV system is hooked up correctly ??? That's another likely vacuum leak.

yeah!

It seems to me, and keep in mind, this is just a wild guess, but it seems that maybe your fuel line supply is too low to kick in when you accelerate but then seems to "catch up" when you lift your foot off the pedal, n'est pas?. When's the last time you changed your fuel filter????? My car started acting fuelishly like yours and this worked for me. It's that darn Ethanol based fuel that loosens up all kinds of crud in your fuel tank and lines.

Have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? You need to get one on and tape the gauge to the windshield and see what happens when you go WOT.

I Seafoamed the car and the SES light went off, however the car does still hesitate but not as bad and not as much....alota smoke came out drove down the street about 2 miles and i turned around and i followed my smoke trail all the way back to my house......lol its a quick fix but there still something upp....
