i raced a kid i know at night and i knew it was his mustang but he didnt know what i drove so he no idea it was me. i blew him away! i didnt even realize we were racing til he started going even!

funny thing is I later talked to the kid that was in the passenger seat and he said the drivers comment was "shit, i didnt think that old man had it in him..."

i also heard minutes later he got blown away by a buick then got pulled over and busted by the po-po

I don't even have my full drivers license yet (Illinois has a crappy 9 month waiting period before you can get your license.) and I can bust BMW's and Benzes's while I'm driving to school with my dad in the passenger seat

My friend has a 2003 Grand Prix GT and he said his car was faster then mine, I wonder what he's going to say when his 200hp "sports car" gets busted by my 300hp Cadillac

Yeah, so I'd like to see a list of the modifications that brought the 4.9L from 200hp to 300hp. Inquiring minds need to know!

My engine already dyno'ed at 213hp from the start. It came out of a wrecked '92 that had 67K, but was a very good engine. It's running at 275-280hp now, and will be at 300-310 when I'm finished.

MSD Streetfire ignition
Supersonic spark plugs
heads ported and polished
heads shaved to 10.5:1
Fastchip
Self made Alcohol Injection system
Mustang 19lb Injectors
Edelbrock SDT muffler; dual out. (I'm actually probably going to take this off, it's a very nice muffler and the dual exhaust looks pretty cool ,but it's just too noisy for a Cadillac.)
and a mod that's not necessarily street legal involving the Cat.....

Probably going to add a CAI during the spring when I start working on it again, I was even looking at getting a custom cam but I'm too lazy to do the work.

These are just engine mods mind you, suspension tuning will come during the spring, and any tranny mods if I decide to do them.

check out that thread it tell you how to increase you hp biggest thing being the timing 20 hp just by bumping the timing up to 13 btdc and the second being the exhaust .probly 30-40 hp just in them 2 but 92 oct is required . i found a place not to far from me that sells 95 oct ive ben wondering if i put that in could a go to like 14-15 btdc of if ide detonate my engine

We've advanced timing on some of my other family members Devilles the normal way, but with the fastchip it automatically advances the timing (besides eliminating the mph limiter that's all it really does) and produces the same effect.

I only use 93 octane in my car, with octane booster which makes it around 95. When alcohol injection is engaged the octane rating is >100.

The mixture of 50/50 denatured alcohol and water cools the fuel air mixture for a cooler operating temp, increases fuel octane rating which prevents detonation, and the denser fuel/air mixture can help produce more low end torque. The system just injects the mixture into the intake just above the throttle body.

Alcohol injection can help in the red light derby and is relatively cheap to make (mine ended up being $190) Also, for sizing references I would consider 4.9 liters to be a medium sized engine.
