any way so i put them on and the stock wheels in the garage.
pull out keep driving, for kicks i checked the tire pressure on the tires. they all said 32 PSI ( what i had it set to ) and would go up to about 33-34 when they warmed up...
well by the end of the trip they all showed 34 PSI
its messed up. but at least it doesn't say " service tire monitor" |

You have sensors in the winter rims? What's the issue? If you have the other rims in the trunk, take them out. Drive far far away and do the learn process. If you don't have sensors in the winter rims, just buy sensors for them. That's what I did.
Make sure you're using the proper caps on the valve stems. We recently learned that the factory chrome caps are an integral part of the antenna system for the sensors.

also i had no idea about the factory chrome caps being part of the antenna system. so cool! |

the new rims dont have TPS's in them however it still reads all the tires are at 34 PSI but the one at 24 PSI and it says " check tire pressure" when i start up.
it odd it will fluctuate from 24-22 and then to about 19 .
things are weird |

things are weird | wow how does it fluctuate without a sensor there? haha
this is rather novel but have you tried putting the tire that its saying is low back on the car to get it up to where it should be then removing it?
PITA but i guess thats the best COA |

That's what I asked if the old rims were in the trunk. I've learned that 24 PSI is the magic number for some reason if a sensor is on the fringe of range.
In other words the sensor is present but having trouble reaching the receiver, that's why I mentioned the caps.
I have 4 brand new sensors and one of them reads 24PSI occasionally but I have plastic caps. I'm going to replace them just haven't had the time. |

whoa dont listen to me totally forgot/didnt know they were wireless.
that is weird! So when the dealer rotates your tires do they have to reconfigure the system so it reads the location of each tire differently?
Id say the best option for the OP is they don't want to put up with the message is to get TPMS sensors for each wheel.
On rental cars (non-cadillac) i've driven it has a (!) symbol if a tire is low and it actually has a TPMS light that flashes if the system altogether just isnt working.
Id guess this or something like it should be the case since the old eldorado wheels obviously dont have sensors instead of giving you false readings. Are the tires somewhere in your garage that its interfering with this process? |

You're going to have to do that anyway because in 2009 it's going to be a law and required for inspection. It's against the law now to dismantle or disable the TPMS system. Quote:

Every time you go near them you'll get a reading. Quote:
