Well as you guys know I'm the guy with the 91 cadillac deville/fleetwood. Well the other day I had a lot of airins to run. Well to give you alittle history about my starting issuses. First off I had my PARK REVERSE NEUTRAL SAFTEY SWITCH changed out at 217,000 miles because when you would turn the key you would just hear a click. Secound I had my IGNITION SWITCH and KEY changed out at 260,000 miles because of the same thing click and blank plus the security light would stay on. Then two days ago the dang thing leaves me stranded at a gas station for an hour. I checked every thing. Fuses, Maxi fuses, relays under the hood and fuses under the glovebox........ I couldn't find anything. So then I got desperate, I took apart the kickpanel looking for more fuses and relays. Low and behold I stumpled upon a relay underneth the steering wheel that was dangaling. So I go to unplug it and the back of it is really hot so I left it in.

Then I came up with an idea..... how about I wack this relay. So I'm taping it with a hammer and trying to start me car and low and behold it works

. So then I drive home. I unplug the relay and try starting the car and the same thing happens, click, click, blank. I plug it back in and it starts. So then I looked the part up in my FSM and its the STARTER ENABLE RELAY AKA ANTI-THEFT RELAY. So then I replaced it from O'reilly auto parts for $10, problem solved.

So if any one is having problems with there 91-93 cadillac deville/fleetwood/sixtyspecial and you changed the following parts. Starter, Battery, Alternator, PARK REVERSE NEUTRAL SAFTEY SWITCH, IGNITION SWITCH and KEY. And you still get clicks or blanks chances are you need to change your STARTER ENABLE RELAY AKA ANTI-THEFT RELAY.

Now my car turns over on the first try
