2002 deville Dies some times

i have a 2002 deville and it dies sometimes, like you turned the switch off. it re starts jest fine. i dont know what to think. it's been to the dealer no problem found. i give thanks for your help. pony

Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor, should set a diagnostic code, you can pull them yourself (do a search on the forum for how) or have the dealer pull them.

Yup. GM had a bad supplier from 2000 - early '03. They should and usually do set a DTC, but don't discount the CKP sensor if there are none. They have been known to fail without setting one. My money is also on the CKP sensors. FYI, there are two. Change them both while you are at it.
