Hey, Jake...Took it out today !

Yup, got up the nerve and took the 60 Special out of winter storage. Filled it with $2.32 Sunoco super premium and out on the highway we went. At first I kept it at 40 MPH for like 2 miles, and then faster, up to 55, and finally to 66 MPH. Went like a dream, tested everything & everthing worked perfectly. On the return trip (went 30 miles round trip) I stopped for air in the tires. Man all different! 26 in one, 29 in one 34 in one & 36 in one. Made them all 34 even. She looks terrific. Began at 9,969 miles and got home at 9999 miles. Looks cool, all the nines. Covered & back in the garage. She still floats along like a glider. Got some looks on the road, too. The license plate gets alot of thumbs up. 60 SPCL

Excellent! I still envy your plates...I just hit a few miles higher than yours last week - 130,000! Wowsers! I just drove a few elderly women to my sisters wedding today and they said it glided on the road like a dream! It's all in the name - 60.

If you're car is capable of 130,000 miles, and mine has 10,000 in 11 years, that's 909 a year I've driven mine. Now, subtracting my 10,000 from your 130,000 leaves a difference of 120,000. At 909 a year, I'll be at 130,000 in 132 years, making me 189 years old, when I get to your mileage. Whoa, I better start driving it more .... like 2,000 miles a year !
