How to kill/disable Magna-Steer circuit malfunction warning?
Immediately after I replaced the left front ABS sensor on my 97 limo and finally got the ABS light to stay off by itself, I get the C1241 Magna-Steer circuit malfunction message. Are they related or just a coincidence? Anyway, I removed the Magna-Steer connector and checked the resistance of the coil and it was infinite resistance, i.e. there is an open in the coil and I would need to replace the steering rack. Since I don't want to do that, at least not right now, how can I disable the Magna-Steer circuit malfunction warning message in the dash? Can I just plug in a resistor that would simulate the resistance of the coil (about 2 ohms according to what I've heard)?
