new to the caddilac world a few ???s

hello i am a converted cadillac man coming from the jaguar camp. i have a 97 deville and love the car. i have a few quirks that might be simple fixes.
1. when the air con is on, only the drivers side vents blow cold air, the two pass. blow hot even with the pass climate control on the drivers door on cold.2.cant move the drivers seat foward. the button moves up and down but not foward. it acts like it is stuck is this common?
3.i smell some gas fumes sometime, i heard there is a recall,, what is the recall and will a dealer rectify it? thanks so much for the read i am greatfull for any help. i look foward to being a part of this new cadillac world. thank you all

the reason being if you feel from one vent and not the other could be that the vent isnt secured around the openig and is blowing under the das ha nd keep ing your indash cool look to see if the inside of you vents look flush or connected

There was a fuel rail recall, I would take it to the dealer and see if it was done, as well as get the service history on it. Smelling fuel is never a good thing. It could also be coming from a rusted out fuel filler pipe.

The fuel rail recall was for the '95 - '97. If your fuel rail is black nylon it hasn't been done and needs to be. If it is stainless steel, it has.

A/C symptom you mentioned is a common symptom of a low refrigerant charge in a dual zone system. Not quite low enough to set a DTC or warning message.
