I'm a tech at my local caddy dealer, i see it all the time, just wait till your final drive goes. as for the ELC if you want to test the pump, first check the fuse for the pump, should be a 20 amp fuse located in your rear fuse box labled ELC, if that is good plug the new pump in and disconect the ELC height sensor from your rear control arem and push the boom up on it, the pump should light off within 20 seconds. if not, check ALL the connectors, disconnect em, shoot some CRC contact cleaner and Di-electric grease in them, try again, if no response then you'll need a new ride height sensor, i see bad ones enough to call it somewhat common, most likely be ignoreing the ELC being blown for so long you overheated or shorted the old pump out and blew the fuse, thats why its not working. oh and replace your ambient temperature sensor, its mounted right behind your grille, takes 5 minutes at max with a rock and stick for tools |
