222 degress is normal operating temperature, mine runs as high as 230 normally, i believe the cooling fans dont even come on till 230, you arent over heating, you just have a bad oil pressure switch (or bad oil pump which is very doubtfull) as fors your TCC problem, its a solenoid within the transmission that should need replacing, there was a revised solenoid kit for the 4t80-E, look intro that, and get them 22's off of it, you are just going to throw your speedo off, put way too much strain on the transmission and suspension, and look ghetto as hell, what would your pops say about 22's on his car? I'm a tech at my local caddy dealer, i see it all the time, just wait till your final drive goes. as for the ELC if you want to test the pump, first check the fuse for the pump, should be a 20 amp fuse located in your rear fuse box labled ELC, if that is good plug the new pump in and disconect the ELC height sensor from your rear control arem and push the boom up on it, the pump should light off within 20 seconds. if not, check ALL the connectors, disconnect em, shoot some CRC contact cleaner and Di-electric grease in them, try again, if no response then you'll need a new ride height sensor, i see bad ones enough to call it somewhat common, most likely be ignoreing the ELC being blown for so long you overheated or shorted the old pump out and blew the fuse, thats why its not working. oh and replace your ambient temperature sensor, its mounted right behind your grille, takes 5 minutes at max with a rock and stick for tools

Re: my poor 97 deville

the fuse block is sunk into the plastic behind the seat on the upper left hand side, you have to pull the carpeting away, (there are 5 plastic nuts holding it on around the top of it, its all one piece) you are looking for the ELC fuse, on the 97 its a 10 amp, not a 20
