I have a new loud clicking / rattling noise, like a rock in a hubcap during a right hand curve.
I looked under the car and didn't see anything rubbing or anything. Is this a CV joint or something.

Front brakes may also need to be done, they've been on the car since I've had it. |

I'm sure I've seen it on that new of a northstar. This only happens on RH turns. If it happens again regularly, try turning off the engine in the turn to see if it goes away. |

Now that almost belongs on Ripley's. Turn of the engine in a turn? I'll have to find a parking lot big enough to do that.
Isn't the starter mounted front to rear? Why would that happen in a right hand turn? Quote:

In the unlikely event that the drive went bad, a right turn would allow the starter drive to slide to the left, just like an object left on your dashboard and contact the ring gear, much like trying to start a car that is already running. |

Yes, the issue they're referring to is a starter issue. Do you understand how a starter works? |

Whatever holds that in must go bad or break so when you make a right turn, that gear slides out and bumps into the spinning flywheel.
That's the clicking / rattling we're talking about. To me it sounded just like a pebble in a hubcap. |

So what does the spring break ? | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
