Enjoying My 88 DeVille

I really appreciate the quality built into the 88 DeVille. At 20 years of age and 123K miles -- and a previous owner who maintained the car as recommended-- this car is a pleasure to drive. It is incredibly nimble in traffic and easy to park -- and it averages 20 mpg highway/city. It rides and drives smoothly, and the styling is classic. GM is taking so many hits in the media, but I think they have made some great cars ... and the 88 Cadillac is one I truly enjoy.

Thanks for sharing.You`ve got the shortbody Deville.I personally like the longer body Devilles,but to each his/her own.I still see a shortbody Deville on the road every now and then---as you said,the styling is classic.
The way current luxury cars have been getting shorter in bodylength and width,you`re 195" in bodylength 1988 Deville may seem normal again quite soon.

'88 Coupe deVille here, just under 88k miles, LOVE it. Runs around 19MPG, but I rarely get on the highway for more than 3 or 4 miles, and run the A/C half the year here in AZ.

Wow, I get total crap mileage compared to you guys. I average 14-15 and I drive very conservatively, though I rarely go on the highway. I know it needs a tune up (new plugs, wires and coil) but I am selling it soon so screw it.
