1990 Deville becomes bucking bronco

Same thing was happening to my 1990 Sedan Deville (49000 miles). Tried fuel filter - nope. Then fule pump - nope. Then tune up - nope. Took it to a mechanic - it wasn't throwing any codes. Looked at Catalyc Converter- it was fine. The culprit was ...... Computer chip - replaced it and it runs like a champ.
