'01 DHS Rear door panel and rear visor question...

My rear ashtray cover is broken and the other missing, I want to replace the rear ashtray assembly or just the cover if that can be removed without breaking the replacement one, I can find a rear ash tray assembly but it only shows as "w/o rear seat heater", I have rear heated seats so is the ashtray seperate from the heater controls or is it all one unit?



Can the non shaded part be found in a junkyard or bought new or is the heated seat button all one assembly with the ashtray?



And about the rear visors is there anything that can be done about there loud plastic creaky when being opened, any adjustments to them?

Number 30 on your schematic is for the ashtray cover. Since it is a seperate part, just replacing the cover must be possible.

I looked into it on gm direct parts by the "ask them a question" thing and they said the door is only available with the frame or assembly and it's mad expensive. It comes with the cover clips with black plastic thing that ashtray snaps into and without heated seat and window switch. which side and what color do you need? I have some spare parts.
