Re: washer fluid

I Know When I Put Washer Fluid In My Car And It's Bone Dry The Whole Gallon Goes In And It's Still Not Full. So I'm Sure Caddy's Take More Washer Fluid Than Most Cars. Plus, I Can't Believe How Much Washer Fluid It Spits Out When You Want To Clean Your Winshield. Seems Like Half The Gallon Comes Out Lol....

Re: washer fluid

I know when my washer fluid tank is empty is takes the whole gallon plus some. I guess caddy's take more washer fluid than most vehicles. Then another thing, how come it spurts about a half a gallon of fluid when you want to clean the windshield? I mean gesh is all that fluid necessary lol....

Re: washer fluid

Christine, does your car squirt fluid for more than 3 seconds in AUTO ? Maybe the timer is shot. You should be able to control the amount manually......

Minnesota........I retired in '82. If your dad was an East Coast sub sailor we may have crossed paths.

Re: washer fluid

i'm not sure how to do it manually. As far as how many seconds it would be about 3 wipes on a wiper blade if you understand what i'm talking about

Re: washer fluid

Christine, If you just give the lever a quick flip, it goes auto and make 3 or 4 swipes and sprays a predetermined amount of fluid. If you hold the lever, them it sprays until you release it, giving you control.

Sub...

I talked to my dad this morning. He was on the K-3, the Sperry, the Carp and the Sabalo. I know the guys from K-3 still get together for reunions.

I'm glad I asked him..it's good to know.

Re: washer fluid

For what it worth, washer fluid on my Olds was leaking where the pump enters the container. It appeared to be just a worn out rubber washer. I found another washer in my tool box roughly the same size and stuck it on there. So far, no more leaks.
