Full? It should only be about half full.

Exactly! It was about 1/2 full when I left the house. Then when the engine hot message came up, it was full. I cracked the radiator cap and let the pressure off. Then the coolant started to drain back into the radiator.

Since a cap is cheap, I'd change it and see if that solves your problem. Be sure you get the correct cap.

Been there, tried that. It has only happened twice in the past 6 months so it cant be anything too serious (I hope!)
