Digital dash is blank after sitting ...

I have a 97 deville that has blown headgaskets and has been sitting for 2.5 years without being run very often. I've been debating on a HG repair so I went out to clean it up and recharge the battery. I have the battery charger on it now and pretty much everything works except for the speedo, fuel gage, and DIC are all blank. Also, the interior lights are not coming on. The rest of the lights at the top of the dash, i.e., service engine soon, etc. are all working, A/C display, radio, antenna, seats, locks, etc. are are working as well. Any ideas? This could certainly put a damper on an HG repair if something else BIG is now wrong because I let it sit. Any help is appreciated.

Start with fuses - IPC and courtesy lights. Don't know if they would be on the same circuit, but possible. You may have connection problems from the car sitting so long.

Thanks. I went out to check the fuses and the battery didn't hold the charge. Guess the battery is bad after sitting so long. I'll grab a new one this weekend and give it a shot.

i have the same problem with my 97 deville, it has blown headgaskets and just today my center screen went out but the gas and climate screens work fine. I checked all of my fuses and they are fine. what would make just the center screen to go blank??? what else should i check?
