1991 DeVille Trunk Replacement

I am the proud owner of a white 1991 DeVille. Unfortunately someone backed into it last week and did not have the courtesy to stick around so I am left having to foot the bill for the repairs! Luckily only the trunk hood was damaged (and the plastic piece below but not too badly...). I found a white trunk hood replacement on eBay and am having it shipped here. Once it arrives I would like to replace the hood myself, rather than take it to a shop, as it is so close to the holidays that I will not be able to get an appointment prior to a road trip I am taking.

How hard is it to replace the trunk lid and what special parts will I need? I imagine I will have to put my lock into it as well... has anyone done this? Where can I find a diagram? I am pretty good with mechanical stuff but I don't do this type of work too often!
