Radio type and LED opera lights

    Hi:

I have a 88 Fleetwood d' Elegance which I bought new in May of 88. I have two questions that some of you may be able to answer or another site that might. 1) Which Delco/Bose radio (chassis no.) should be in it, 16056056 or 16127086? 2) Is their a LED replacement for the opera lights or a LED retrofit kit? Thank you.

    Tom

This is the RWD Fleetwood, so these are the interior sail panel lights, right?

Re: Radio type and LED opera lights

Is it one of the illuminated Cadillac crests or a longer skinny opera lamp? If its the lighed crest, they are ~$90 a piece at a dealer and if they die I don't think that there is a kit to replace the flurescent strip in them. If you are talking about the longer, limo type deal lamps, check this thread in the Brougham section that may answer your question...

I will give MTGParts a call tomorrow. Yes, I have the long skinny ones, 9 1/4 x 3/4". Thanks for the response. Got in idea about the radio? Thanks -Tom

All I can see is that 16056056 was used in 1987 with the Bose system. The other one all I can find is that it is for Cadillacs with the Bose system - the site gave no details on what years. Is there a difference on the two? Maybe you would want to go aftermarket?

Exclamation Re: Radio type and LED opera lights

Your concur with what I've found too. Just checked with my local dealer (should have already done this) said that the 16127086 was the model listed in their 'old' book for the 88, but could not explain why the 16056056 was in the car, or which year it went in. You know, I just remembered that the radio had bad scratch on the bezel upon delivery and asked them to replace it. They did, apparently with an 1987 model! Thanks much for your response. Tom
